It is a very tough period to finish this artwork because of the limitation of the shooting. And also, this artwork includes many medium, I divide all the work into 3 kinds and do all the work at the same time.

 

First, I do it myself. For example, the recording and the arrangement of the demo, the design of the booklet, and the post-production of the music video, lyrics video and short film. I just use some simple instrumental to arrange the demo into the thought in my brain and record everything in my home.

 

Second, I record and arrange the music with friends. For the songs in the EP “keep dreaming”, it is a well mixed and mastered song that is record in a more professional way. For those song, I gave them to listen to the demo of the song, and discuss about what is the song talk about, and what kind of music I want to make. I will get a draft arrangement for me to record the vocal, and then adjust the arrangement with the vocal, record the backing vocal and finally do the mixing and mastering. I would like to thanks my teammate put so many times to do the arrangement and the mixing, and they just put so much effort make the song to another level that over my expectation.

 

Finally, I shoot the music video and short film with another team different from the music team. After getting the draft of the songs, I write what I imagine of the visual and the story, and start the pre-production of the music video. One of the music videos are using the two days footage of the short film of the GT project that I want to do at first. However, the project canceled and I do not want to waste the forage and all the efforts, so I use it to make one of the music videos. Besides, another music video and the short film are based on that story to write a sequel, I found the same actor to act the story after 10 years, and it become the short film and one of the music videos.

 

I do all 3 line of work at the same time and finally finish this weird and unique project include so many things and they are all related. Although I cannot finish my original short film, I learn how to change my thought and what I can do in such a worse situation, and finish the work at time with an outcome that I would also live it. It might be one of the worst year in my life, and I have no regrets about what I did in this year.
